The National Agency for Direct Investment and Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA), a multilateral development agency and member of the World Bank Group, work together on the delivery of investment promotion information in Russian through MIGA’s FDI Promotion Center (FDI Center), an online knowledge portal for investment professionals.

THE FDI PROMOTION CENTER

•         FDI Promotion Center is an online knowledge-sharing and learning portal designed to serve the growing community of investment promotion professionals. It contains a reference library of tools, best practices, investor research sources, presentational aids, software reviews, case studies, templates and open source software.

•         This free web site offers investment promotion practitioners with online access a growing collection of best practice tools, reference guides and knowledge resources that support organizations seeking to attract and retain foreign direct investment.

•         The FDI Promotion Center has been developed by the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency.

FDI Promotion Center is designed to accommodate all levels of practitioners:

MIGA & NADI IN PARTNERSHIP

•         The Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA) was created in 1988 as a member of the World Bank Group to promote foreign direct investment into emerging economies to improve lives and reduce poverty. MIGA fulfills this mandate and contributes to development by offering political risk insurance (guarantees) to investors and lenders, and by helping developing countries attract and retain private investment.

•         NADI has joined MIGA as its partner in the Russian Federation & CIS to deliver:

–        The FDI Promotion Center to the Russian-speaking investment community in the Russian language;

–        Additional regional specific content & real-life case studies;

–        Online e-learning courses in investment promotion;

–        Practical, results-based, technical assistance programs to investment promotion intermediaries.

Status of the Project.

•         The localized Russian version of FDI Promotion Center has been launched on March 1st, 2006.

•         Following the official launch of the portal, NADI & World Bank are hosting free workshops in selected regions for investment promotion professionalsessionals.
