Educational Project for Russian Regions “Executive MBA – Investment Relations and Investment Promotion”

The Educational Project is the unique program, aimed at practical aspects of investment facilitation with its focus on foreign direct investment promotion.

The Project is arranged by:

  • National research University – Higher School of Economics (Theory and practice of business and authorities cooperation), Moscow ( www.hse.ru)

  • Institute of communicational management, National research University – Higher School of Economics, Moscow ( www.hse.ru)

  • National Agency for Direct Investment, Moscow

  • National Association of Investment and Development Agencies, Moscow

Our key Partners are:

  • Mr. Alexander Shokhin - President of RSPP ( www.rspp.ru), President of NRU-Higher School of Economics;

  • Mr. Igor Vdovin – Chairman of National Agency for Direct Investment ( www.napi.ru).

Our business-trainers are:

  • Mr. Carlos Bronzatto – World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies, Executive Director;

  • Mr. Paul Fischer – one of the world leading experts on emerging markets;

  • Representatives of most successful foreign Investment Promotion Agencies;

  • Leading experts on “business intelligence”;

  • Top-managers of transnational corporations, planning to do or doing business in Russia;

  • Leading professors of Higher School of Economics,

The participants for the Project will be chosen on a test basis. The key goal of the test will be to identify the gaps, participants might have, and to restructure the Project in order to reduce these particular gaps. This allows to make the Project a unique one for each participant.

The Project includes two Educational Programs and a Business-English course.

  1. Educational Program “Executive MBA ”Investment Promotion – Modern Technologies”

The Program consists of Theoretical (80 academic hours) and Practical (minimum 100 academic hours) Parts.

The Theoretical Part is based on the following MBA courses:

  1. Investment Policy and Investment Climate of the Region;

  2. Development strategy for the Region and Investment Promotion Program;

  3. Infrastructure for investment promotion;

  4. Investment Relations – attraction and guidance of investors;

  5. Image policy. Reputational risks.

The Theoretical Part includes 3 modules.

The participants will obtain the Certificate of professional development from National research University – Higher School of Economics and the Executive MBA Diploma from Institute of communicational management, National research University – Higher School of Economics.

  1. Educational Program “Executive MBA – Investment Promotion”

The Program consists of Theoretical (220 academic hours) and Practical (minimum 100 academic hours) Parts.

The Theoretical Part is based on the following MBA courses:

  1. Investment Policy and Investment Climate of the Region. Site selection. Investment legislation.

  2. Business environment. Financial management. Investment management. Capital markets.

  3. Investment marketing. Risk management. Project management.

  4. Investment Promotion agency – launching and maintaining. Ways to success.

  5. Business-intelligence. Investment Relations. Negotiation process. Investors database.

The theoretical Part includes 5 modules, online-practicum, project defence. The final module and the project defence will be held in English.

The participants will obtain the Certificate of professional development from National research University – Higher School of Economics and the Executive MBA Diploma from Institute of communicational management, National research University – Higher School of Economics.

The Practical Part for both of the abovementioned Educational Programs includes a minimum of 100 academic hours of master-classes, brain-storms, case-studies of specific projects and problems of the Region. The main guidelines of the Practical Part are:

  1. Best practice of world leading IPAs. Site selection;

  2. Business intelligence – technologies and secrets;

  3. Investment Relations.

Each module will be finalized with a Sector Workshop, aimed at understanding of “client’s needs” for a sector, a site, administrative procedures, etc.

Business English course will be focused on practical aspects of Investment Relations. It will include business games, negotiations and speech practice, business correspondence, etc.

After the course the participants will be given an opportunity to pass a TOEFL/GMAT, IELTS or comparable exam.
